Being an older person can be challenging with or without HIV. Apart from the medical issues, there’s also our body image, the community’s ageism, etc. We’ll explore some of our thoughts such as “When I look in the mirror, I wish I could turn back time.” “When I’m out at community events, I sometimes feel invisible among so many younger people.” Trish Thompson, a counsellor with years of experience specialising with HIV, will help us explore, share and learn how to deal with these thoughts.
Taking Charge is a partnership between Living Positive Victoria and Thorne Harbour Health.
